God's hands part 2

Well I said yesterday that was only half my day on Monday. Now for the second part.

I work with a youth group for girls and we had made plans at the beginning of the year to do a fundraiser for the gentlemen that host our group. It was to be a spaghetti dinner. Well time kept going by and the time for the dinner was getting very very close, like the night before, and I was in a complete panic. I went to the store and purchased all of the ingredients we needed for the dinner and donated it to group so all the money raised for them would be 100% profit. Well, this made several members very upset that I did that without saying something to them. Again I was nervous, anxious, and totally out of my mind and I had been asked to contact the leader of the group on Monday. Well I also knew that when I feel like I am backed into a corner I get very defensive and I sound like I am being argumentative and I am not trying to be, so when I called this adult I was kind, pleasant and kept my tone in check. I explained my status on the situation. I went about my day and since I was feeling some relief from the earlier situation I went to the facility and started to prepare the dinner. As I was finishing up, before I had to leave for school to take my students home, I talked to the second adult in charge for about an hour and he explained a lot of things to me. He was very pleasant, kind and understanding. We talked for about an hour. That evening, upon returning to the facility, I arrived just minutes before the girls and other adults. Everyone accepted my apology and we all had the most wonderful time. We served the dinner and raised a good amount of money for our group. I know that from now on I will discuss everything with the group first and get everyone's approval and also it was God's hand that, again, told me to calm down, be still, I got you.

God's love for us is there, even when we think we are so undeserving. We have doubts about the ones here on this earth, out closest loved ones, and we doubt their love for us, we question our closest friends about their intentions toward us, we spend a lifetime in doubting others. Shut up, be still, calm your mind. Even if things go wrong these people were put in our lives to teach us something. Some learn better then others and that so includes me. It seems like I am learning the same lessons over and over again.

God's hand is everywhere we just have to look for it. Try, instead of be in a doubtful mind set, try looking for the good in each situation. Yes I am telling you to look at the situation from a "Pollyanna" point of view. Find the positive and push away all the negative, but most of all remember to pray about each situation. Yes God knows whats wrong but you need to still be specific. Don't be afraid to ask for specifics. God is love and he showed us that through his Son, Jesus. We should all strive to be more like Jesus. Hush, be still!

God's hand

So many times in my life I have looked back, hinesight being 20/20, and seen God's hands at work. Let me tell you a story.....
On Monday of this week I had a lot going on with myself. I was stressed about some projects I had going on and about coming face to face with some people I had upset. Yeah I upset more then one, but wait let's begin on Friday. I drive a school bus and on Friday morning I got very, very upset with one student. When the student exited the bus I yell to them to stop that I needed to talk with them about the situation of bullying another student. I really do not like bullies. I mean really don't like them. The one that instigated the situation told me there was nothing going on so when I was able to get to this student I immediately but that student on the defensive. I asked if they thought it was fair for me to defend them against being bullied and then they turn around and do the same thing to another student. NOT COOL! Well needless to say I didn't handle it right and made the student scared. Man did I feel like a heal. A little while later I went to that student and humbly apologized to them for my reaction. I even went to my boss and apologized. Then on Monday morning I was scared, worried, anxious that the mother of that student was going to get all up in my face and scream and yell at me about Friday. I waited for the student to board the bus and mom just sat there, and she waved at me with a smile on her face as she left the parking lot! Imagine my relief. This is only one situation that God had his hand in on this day. There were a couple more situations as well. It states in our Bible's for us not to worry about our lives. What we eat, wear, or live. Like Jesus did to the raging seas, he raised his hand around my life and said "Be still". In my words that was shut up and let me handle this. I got you. Have some faith will you.
My God is GOOD!

The Pampered Life

There are so many things that we do during the day and it is so hard to find that time for family. We all run here and there with our own activities as well as the kids. Between soccer, baseball, softball, field hockey, basketball, football, dance recitals, swimming lessons, gymnastics practice and competitions....and that is just out children. Did I leave anything out? Well if I did, sorry.
Anyway, that is why I am here. I really hate to cook, so I became a Pampered Chef consultant to learn how to do it quick and easy...and yes that includes the clean up. None of us like that part. Well I have learned that cooking does not have to be as labor intensive as it was in the past. We can get quality food on the table fast and still make it to the Spring Concert at our child's school on time.
